What services are provided by Connections Speech-Language
Therapy of Boerne?
- Complete evaluations
- Diagnostic reports with individualized treatment plans
- Individual or small group therapy sessions
- Home practice materials
- Consultation/collaboration with teachers and other professionals
- Regular progress reports
Each child will receive an individual evaluation of their
communication skills. This is likely to include a thorough
case history and medical questionnaire, a parent interview,
standardized test instruments, and observation of functional
communication in a play setting.
Following the evaluation, Connections will provide the
parent with a detailed written report that
includes results, diagnosis, and an individualized treatment plan.
Treatment plans are designed to target functional skills that
will enhance social communication and academic achievement.
Individual and/or small group speech therapy sessions will
utilize motivating games, manipulatives, and activities to
make learning fun. Home practice activities will be provided
to facilitate transfer of new skills to other settings and
enhance progress. Consultation with other professionals, for
example, school I.E.P. teams, can be provided upon request.
To ensure the best possible outcome, the speech pathologist
will collaborate with physicians or other service providers
who work with your child. Progress reports will be issued
regularly to document the child's improvement and
accomplishment of goals.
Payment
Connections will accept cash or checks, but not
credit cards. We are in-network providers for several
major insurance carriers and we do accept Medicaid.
For your convenience, we will verify your speech
therapy benefits with your health insurance company
and file for reimbursement if our services are covered.
Payment is expected at the time that services are
rendered, unless we are filing for reimbursement
from your insurance company.
